Executive Leadership
Barbara Spooner MBE
Chief Executive Officer
Barbara leads Digital Safety CIC, bringing over 30 years of senior experience across national and international law enforcement, including specialist operations, covert intelligence, and capability development.
She has held leadership roles across territorial policing and serious and organised crime, leading intelligence and technical commands and delivering complex national programmes, including the implementation of new legislation.
Barbara has also shaped national policy as an executive lead for Women in Policing and has extensive international experience, including chairing a covert global task force spanning 22 countries and leading the National Crime Agency’s Communications Data Unit.
Her contribution to policing and leadership was recognised in 2014 when she was awarded an MBE for services to covert intelligence operations and leadership in law enforcement.
